I currently have some M/T's on my 3rd gen. I would like to move on to something else because the gas mileage is just terrible and I also need some tires that will get me across town (15 mile commute a day) in the winter time. I live in the NW and the particular area where I live, snow doesn't get as bad as the Midwest, Montana, Colorado, East Coast ETC.

Need some A/T's that will get me to work and back. I really don't want dedicated snow tires. Basically want to get out of these M/T's because the gas mileage is terrible and M/T's are terrible in the snow.

Suggestions appreciated, my tire size is 265/75r16.

I agree with, inwood customs suggestion assuming you're looking to stick with something on the aggressive side. The 265/75R-16 LR-C DuraTrac is relatively lite weight at 44 lbs and performs well in winter conditions.

If you're looking to go with something not so aggressive, I'd take a hard look at the standard load Pathfinder A/T. This tire weighs 39 lbs and is also three-peak winter rated for winter conditions just like the DuraTrac.

I used Cooper Discoverer AT3s for a couple winters, and while they are no match for true winter tires, they were pretty decent for ATs. BFG KO2s are good in deeper snow, shit in light snow and ice. I'd look into the Cooper ATW, which is similar to the AT3 but a bit more geared for snow. Might be worth holding off though, since it looks like the Cooper AT line is being revamped.

July is the revamp release time according to Cooper. I’m hoping for a c load and size I won’t have to cmc to use.
