I want to load my Honda 400 Rancher AT 4-Wheeler on my 2011 Tacoma. I believe it will fit, but I am concerned about the weak tailgate on the 2nd Gens. Couple of questions:

    1) Is the tailgate strong enough to allow me to place my ramps on the bed and carefully drive the 4 wheeler into the bed of the truck?
    2) Is the tailgate strong enough for the back wheels of the ATV to ride on the open tailgate while transporting the ATV securely strapped down?

Hoping someone here would know. I would hate to buckle the tailgate and lose the ATV.:D

    Thanks.

I realize there are guys on here that load their ATV's in the bed of their truck all the time.. as I did before my tailgate finally gave out. BELIEVE ME, a $600 trailer costs less than a new tailgate!!
