Need some opinions from the TW crew. As many of you saw in a previous thread. I went through a massive hail storm and I am working on getting my dings repaired. For the hood I had quite a few dingers. The shop is telling me the hood specifically is $565.85 to repair. I asked for a quote specifically to use that hood repair money towards a replacement painted scooped hood. As I have been looking for for a long time. Below is the quote for parts.

And here is the estimate factoring in Labor.

$1,699.74 even with the $565.85 deducted. That seems a little steep to me lol. However I am looking to widdle the quote down a little bit. The front end film kit is $350?! wow wtf for a sticker?! If I nix that gets me down to $1350.

Long story short is I think I can get it down to just $617 out of pocket if I buy the scoop separately unpainted, Nix the Paint Protection Film, and choose not to have the fenders blended. Just hood and paint.

Question is will I regret not getting the fenders blended? Its a 2017, not so sure it will be noticeable?

Any advice you guys have would be appreciated.

If it’s not blended the paint won’t match you’ll see the slight shade difference between the panels if you can live with that then it’s okay but if your anal then it’s going to be a problem for you.

Sure at twice the price...painting is the easy part...it’s the prep to get it to the point of painting that cost the money.
