    getting there....
i have always used flowmaster 40 series mufflers on my trucks, but on my 04 tacoma with the 3.4 v6................i installed a dynomax super turbo muffler. i like the sound of it pretty good, but the performance aspect of it is nice............its a straight thru muffler, so you will have a little gain from it. your call on it really. if i were you tho.................i wouldnt buy a "catback"......too damn expensive man. just pick the muffler you want and have a shop weld it in in place of the stock muffler. and with the deck plate mod....you'll notice some decent gains. then, you can do headers if you want to. when i have the $...im gonna do either doug thorleys or trd headers.........should set my exhaust pretty good.

you can get one of the dynomax for around $50 to 60 bucks or so.............not too bad. and it may cost ya $40 or so to have it welded in at a local shop.
