(Yes, restaurant is spelled wrong in the title)

I'll be down in La Puente area next week staying at Pacific Palms Resort. I've never been to this area before and figure this would be the best place to find some good eats. Also, looking for a little more upscale restaurant to take my parents to dinner. Thanks.

To be honest, the area around Palms Resort is pretty crappy. The resort itself is great and has several nice restaurants and two of the best and hardest golf courses in California. You're better off driving to neighboring cities for better restaurants.

Engage Offroad long travel front and rear with some fat tires.
    head south on Azusa Ave
turn left on Gale Ave (just before the 60 fwy)
on the left hand side after the dealerships is Benihana...
a little further down is Claim Jumpers
a little further down is Friscos Car Hop (cute lil 50s diner with waitresses on roller skates)

or go past the 60 Fwy
over by the mall is Joe's Crab Shack, Outback Steakhouse

    go past the mall
    turn left on Colima Road
on the left hand side is TGIFridays
just before Target is Macaroni Grill

or turn left on Hanover Road (Macaroni Grill)
    go past Target and Costco
you will see Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Chilis

then after dining, just east of Red Lobster on Castleton Street is Speedzone... you can take them out for some go kart racing and drinks...

U looking for Asian seafood(ie Chinese food) or American Seafood (ie Joes Crab shack)?

If you want to do a little driving, about 20 mins away, theres a place called The Boiling Crab. Its located in Orange County. They got crawfish, shrimp, crab, beer etc. Cajun style, eat with ur hands type deal. Lively place as well. Music, sports, ladies(For u, not ur mom). U wont regret it.

American, but not chain. I'm looking for places that we don't have in Vegas.

Seafood in that area will not be hard to find. If you drive north on Azusa ave. for about 3 and make a left on Colima, you'll have your choice of seafood for about 5 miles. It's very populated by asian people.

Another vote for The boiling crab! There's one not too far away in Rowland Heights off of the 60fwy and Nogales. Southwest corner of Nogales and Gale.
