Need some guidance here. Cylinder heads

What do I need if I were to buy a pair of bare cylinder heads? Valves, valve stems? Springs? Shims? Is that right? Anything else? And where’s the best place to get these? Heads usually come with the cam shafts correct? Are there any vendors out there that have them fully built and assembled ready to slap on the block?

 

I venture some one sells loaded heads .I know I saw them just never needed that option.

I just by used ones and have them done. Most times the complete engine.

Emailed these guys last night confirming if their heads are fully assembled ready for install. They said yes and are going for $425 each. No core charge upfront, 30 days to return core before credit card is billed. I this a decent deal? I feel like it is. Thoughts?

They offer 2 year warranty.

Has anyone had or know someone who’s had experience with these vendors?

 

My Taco is a 2.7, but I bought a head from these guys over the summer. Came ready to bolt right on and the valve clearances were dead nuts on. Have about 4k on it so far with no problems. I imagine any issues would've occurred by now. They have some for the 3.4 as well.

Sounds good to go on price. Rebuilding heads requires a good machine shop or someone who knows what they are doing. It could be all new parts and a bad valve job and game over.

 

What heads did you end up going with? I’m looking for a place to find a new one to put on my 3.4.
