Looking to re-gear and add some front and rear lockers.

Anyone have suggestions on a make for the gears?

Anyone have a suggestions for a shop in the east valley to do the install on both gears/arb air lockers? Figured since it is already open might as well do both at the same time.

a bunch of the FJ guys in town use http://arizonadifferential.com/ (See Nathan) and they do Yukon gears and ARB air lockers.
Watch out there are two arizona differential's in town and the one above does great work and the other doesn't . no affiliation other than same name.

Sierra expeditions can also do gear and ARB air lockers and I believe the company they work with has lifetime warranty on their gears but of course its more.
I run 33.6" tall Pizza Cutters Toyo MT 255/85/16 and i have a lot of weight and roof top tent and 4.56 gear is what I'm going to get done which takes me back close to stock because I do a lot of freeway driving (DD). 4.88 gears it lower than stock and if you were running 35" is what i have researched so far.

I was thinking the with 285/75/17 the added weight from steel bumper and what not that 4.56 would be a good fit, my taco is still my daily. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction with a couple options.

If you look at my setup I have about 1200 lbs of armor/bumpers/winches and carry 20-30gallons on a trip and the recommendation was still just 4.56 from multiple sources. I think Sierra uses Nitro gears when I was talking with them.

https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=255-85r16-285-75r17 looks like your tires are just barely larger than mine, but they will weigh more and they are wider. The Toyo's I have are actually 33.6" so we would be within .2" of each other.. and when i talked to them 34" would work with 4.56. This is my daily driver. I had KM2's before just make sure you rotate and balance them OFTEN, the TOYO MT's hold up much better especially side wall strength. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat. I'm looking at getting mine regeared in the next 2 weeks after talking to Nathan and being on the trail for 2 days behind a regeared FJ. I would rather re-gear then have to replace my transmission because I can't hold 5th gear with my auto on the highway up hills and with winds so it's constantly shifting. Running above 72mph means 4th gear at over 3k and then my gas miles goes to 10-12mpg so totally not worth it for me to go fast. The RTT subtracted .75 mpg. if I run 72-73 I can get 14-15.5 mpg on the highway/city with all my weight and height
