looking at a procomp suspension lift kit to run 285's my 2011 has 100,000 miles and is due for new shocks anyway. I have heard even with the lift there can be tire rub and may have to install spacers or cut part of the fender well plastic out of the way. Any ideas?

    Yes.

    Don't use ProComp gear.

Pick proper fitment wheels (dia/width/offset) to avoid compensating issues like trimming and spacers

    Same with tires.

Spend the evening reading the threads in this forum for great suggestions. It will cost you more $, but it's better to save up and do it right IMHO.

Proper springs for what you want to accomplish, proper dampers to control the new springs, UCAs if you lift over 2 inches or so.

You can make it easy by calling Headstrong Offroad and asking for Marie and describe your goals. Haven't seen any complaints around here on their recommendations.
