So I have a 2012 V6, and I wanted to make it sound a little better. Will getting JUST a new muffler do the job for me? I just want it to have a little bit of rumble but not to the point where it's droning, but I want it to be noticeable. I don't know much about performance stuff so please help me out here! If all I need is a new Muffler, what should I go with?

    Thank you!!

I got a 22" magnaflow muffler, which was just right at first. But now not enough "rumble" so I'm gonna go with the 18". But to answer your question, yes all you need is a muffler to make it sound better. You can also go with an Aeroturbine muffler

I went with the Flowmaster 50 series dual. Not too loud an sounds great on my 2012 V-6

i bought the flowmaster american thunder dual system. it is loud. it has a very irritating drone in the cab while driving. am currently looking for another system. if you need more rumble in your britches, let me know, i'll make you a sweet deal.

As for performance, Most mufflers give very little gain, while some like Flowmaster, actually give a loss of a few HP. Nothin too noticable.

go with a magnaflow 18 inch and i think youd be happy. the 14 inch is quite a bit louder but 18 inch should be fine for you ...
