I am the Vice President of the UC Skydiving Club at my school and had a meeting with all the main peeps in the club tonight about getting our club known to the college students/faculty. right now as it stands, the club has only about 8 active members including me. we are trying to figure out ways to get more attention around campus. so far we have had banners, fliers, stickers, business cards that give people $10 off any skydive, we have our own website/facebook page, and are placed in the UC Clubs section on their website. We advertise trips to the wind tunnel in N.C. and any other trip.

Tonight we tried to brainstorm a few ideas and came up with trying to get our club put up on the scoreboard at the baseball, football, basketball games.
UC has a couple different campuses spread around the area so i plan on printing of some fliers and posting them at each of the campuses to try to get our name out there.
We are also trying to find ways to fund raise. We are selling the skydiving club t shirts which are doing pretty well and we have a raffle for a free dive but thats about it as far as that goes.

Our main problem is UC doesnt exactly announce that there are clubs and how to find them. The only way I found the club was because I stumbled upon the table with the fliers on campus just walking around.

sorry for the long post but hopefully someone can give me some ideas for what I can do.

    Thanks in advanced!

we dont but the skydiving center that we use does land on the field. they are in need of ground crew when they land so we are going to try to get in on that to hopefully get our name out that way.

Yeh, try that. And see if they can through your clubs name out there somehow so people will see it.

you may also sponsor community service...since it is skydiving, a cool idea would be a "package" drive such as http://www.packagesfromhome.org/ to send to our boys and girls overseas. People love it when clubs/groups/associations help our soldiers, especially the ones that jump from planes!
    Hope this helps!
