Need some help with a couple questions I have. Thank you

Long story short, I recently graduated and got a real job and Im currently trying to sell my 99 2 door tahoe with 78k original miles so I can get a Tacoma TRD Sport Quad Cab Long bed.

I was hoping yall could shed some light on some details about newer model Tacomas. Ideally Ill be buying brand new but we'll see.

Anyway, here are some of my questions.

1. Are any common issues with these trucks? For instance 2 of the spark plugs on my mom's ford taurus are extremely difficult to replace. You gotta remove the heat shield and do everything by feel. Its a huge pain. Another exmaple, my jeep grand cherokee had PCM issues and I came to find out thats how almost all jeep products are because of the way they make their PCM's.

2. Are the newer models as reliable as the older ones? like the mid 90's models.

3. I was also wondering how close to 21 mpg is reasonably possible. Has there been an improvement from the 09 to 12? I know this has probably been asked 100000000000000000 times but the topics I read were from several years ago.

I bought my 2010 brand new
I now have 60,000 on mine and haven't replaced a damn thing yet. I drive the hell out of it and it has never let me down. They are a great investment!
