    I purchased a 2007 Tacoma 2.7L 4 cylinder 5 speed for my son... Here is what's happening...

When starting the clutch has to be depressed fully to floor, when I do this it starts but the clutch sticks to the floor. Have to manually lift. It will then shift into 1st or reverse or any gear for that matter. It does this without sticking because it clutch doesn't have to be fully pressed to floor. When releasing clutch in gear (1st or Rev.) the motor will reve and act like it wants to move but it seems stuck like the brake is on. If I would release clutch all the way it would kill motor? Does any of this make sense? Thanks in advance.

    is the fluid reservoir full?

Sounds like the slave is not fully moving the fork, which is often from low fluid from a leaking slave. Or the master can be bad, bypassing fluid internally?

    How many miles?

Always start simple then work up if needed.

Yes fluid full, and am I correct, in this model the brake and clutch share resivors?

135k...I thought the same with cylinder and slave but if that was the case, would it still go into gear? Thanks

Hi and welcome to Tacoma world.
Has it been like this since you purchased it?

So I wish I was some kind of help here but?
I googled Toyota Tacoma clutch sticking and it seems it could be be the master or the slave or the actual pedal assembly worn out.
Pretty interested in what find seeing mine is the same.
Maybe ask again in the 2nd gen section, the 4banger sections don’t get much attention.
