I'm working on installing a Smart Siren in my 2009 Acess Cab. This is a siren/emergency lighting control unit i use for FF/EMS. My issue is mounting the brain in a good spot. Its about 6"x6"x3.5", and has quite a few wiring connections on one side. Here's an ad for reference, the control head is getting mounted to the center console.

right now I threw it in the truck where the factory inverter would go, if I had one, but its an awkward fit, and is difficult to run wiring to/from and connect to the unit. My requirements are: Somewhere dry, Somewhat easily accessible, and easy to run wires to.

I was thinking about buying a battery box to mount it under the hood, similar to this: http://www.google.com/products/cata...=X&ei=s2GRTZ_HOsKZ0QGz_6HkDg&ved=0CD0Q8wIwAg#

To mount under the hood, but I wanted to run it by TW to see if there are any bright ideas. Thanks! Also sorry for the long post.

Bump for the day crowd. I'm about to go out and see if it will fit under the seat.
