I've got an O6 Tacoma same model as what you are looking at. 186,000 miles in good shape and regularly maintained. Kelley Blue Book for (92131) has it at around $10-11k Private Party max.
I certainly wish it was worth $28k!
That Tacoma was ridden hard and put away wet, many, many times.

I have an 06 the same color. There's nothing major wrong with mine, but I am a maintenance freak. The main thing I'd look at is the frame underneath, and get it compression checked. If the frame is swiss cheese, Id pass. A lot of those costs listed for repair are bogus, and can be fixed much cheaper.

I have a feeling this is a troll thread… or maybe I’m just too cynical

I think it depends. Surely some of those things are not necessary to drive it. And the dealer definition of “broken” might whack. I’ve run across several dealers with misguided opinions.

maybe you can talk them down from 10k. If not, that’s a tough sell.

Seems like the original owner realized this truck was on its final leg from years of neglect and traded it in.. i would trust your gut on this, if it’s worth the work/money go for it, but i doubt this truck will ever be “right”

many of those things do not cost what that paper says if you’re the one doing it with a wrench in your hand.

that being said the paint color is black so no. And an 06 that may potentially suffer from
    -HG leak
-frame not reinforced in motor mount area
