Ok folks, I'm looking at putting headers and dual exhaust on the Taco. I will be getting rid of the Cat. Converters and looking for a great sounding system and hopefully an increase in HP and mileage. Any suggestions?

Flowmaster makes the American Thunder kit for the Taco. It's a dual exhaust with a side exit. I don't have it, but I've heard it and it's pretty decent.

I think the best sounding option is to run straight headers vertically out the hood. Flaming smoke stacks FTW!

Don't expect any gains if you get rid of the cat... it will just make your truck obnoxiously loud and smelly.
