Need some suggestions

I'm in the process of looking for a Tacoma, hoping to get 4x4 with a v6 for under 20000. Right now I'm looking at an 06 white dcsb sr5 with 107,000 miles for 16000, he says the price is negotiable. I'm just worried about the mileage, is that too much? I know Tacomas will run for a long time, I'm just looking for some opinions.

this section is for buying or selling. I would ask a moderator to move this post to the NC regional area or the 2nd gen forum. My advice would be NC since prices can be region-dependent, and there's a lot of sludge in the 2nd gen forum.

 

I have an 06 with 122k miles and it runs the same as when new. i would not be too concerned, test drive it. look under the hood, make mega sure no signs of anything leaking and ask him for maint records. I would not hesitate thats a good price.

 

Yeah my 05 has no issues at all man...if it looks clean and performs solid....buy it.



Maybe have a mechanic look at it too

My 07 has 107 on it and i haven't had the first bit of trouble from it. With regular maintenance, these trucks will have no problem lasting 200+. Your getting a real good deal on that one for $16,000.

I think that mileage will be fine. I got a 99 from my brother in law with like 86,000 or something and I've been driving it every day for like 6 years or so now. Doesn't leak a drop, use oil, nothing. I've only had to replace the starter contacts. $9 fix. That truck will be fine with that mileage. It's a Toyota, it's just barely getting broken in. If you drive it normal and don't beat on it'll, it'll treat you great for years to come.

 

agree with the others... it should be fine, but check for the normal things like leaks, smells and/or evidence of major problems

 

There is a dude who's 06 just rolled over 300k in the 2nd gen forum.
