I'm looking at getting Fox or King 2.5 front coil overs and can get them for about the same price right now, I don't know if its the BEST price so if you have any tips let me know. Anyway, why did you pick one over the other? I know there are A LOT of king vs fox vs icon threads but between the two I'm looking at, they're VERY similar and am having a hard time getting off the fence here!

Currently, I have bilstein/ ome 880's on the front right now and bilstein rears. I have an ARB front bumper and RTT in the bed and sit about stock height in the front and about 2 inches higher in the rear.

I looked into them for a bit, more $$ than I'm looking to spend on it though

Is there usually a lead time on getting king or fox coilovers?

Go with King...rarely if ever hear anything negative about Kings. I have them on my 04 and they're great, big improvement over the OME coils/shocks.

Mine took about a month to arrive, when I ordered them last August they were backordered for a small amount of time but it wasn't bad. I ordered them through Headstrong Offroad. Call and see if they have them in stock currently.

I’ve been hung up on the warranty a bit haha

1 year for fox vs 90 days for king

I've never heard of anyone having issues with their Kings, and I have heard that they're customer service is really good compared to Fox and Icon. That's not to say Fox doesn't make good coilovers, but given what I've researched mostly on TW it seems like King is the way to go.

All in all you'll be happy either way over your current setup, but if it were me I would stick with King.

Warranty for what? That is only going to cover manufacture defects and either one of those companies are going to be very few and far between to find any defects. I would think its safe to say 99.99% of shock damage is user caused and at that point its not warranty. Just pick whatever color and/or which you can find the best price for

They’ve been closed for the 4th and got a message from Matt with headstrong yesterday, that it doesn’t look like he has any and would need to get a eta from king :( maybe they’ll happen to find a set somewhere

I went Kings in the front, Fox in the rear. I had Billys back there and just felt like they were fighting each other at times, the Fox Shocks are a perfect complement to the King fronts.

I did try to procure some King rears but you will find its a PITA to find and if you do, prepare to wait. I was quoted 9 weeks and said "No thanks" , bought the Fox rears and never looked back. Our rear stock locations are the issue and I didnt want to bother with stock relocation for this truck. Both are progressive shocks and have a superior highway ride and soften up the offroad stuff.

All that said, had I known about the King rear issues with our 1st Gens, I would have likely gone Fox all around just to have the exact same shock/valving for the 1st Gen. I'm certain I wouldn't notice a difference but the perfectionist in me would. ;)

You cant go wrong with either IMO. I went with @HeadStrong Off-Road for everything; great prices and outstanding customer service. All my stupid questions were answered quickly by Marie. Might chat with her before you chose your investment here.

Good luck with your purchase and post those pics!!! Some of mine below.

Still haven't heard from headstrong, will probably order from wheelers, they've been pretty helpful. King says their lead time is 7-8 weeks right now, none in stock. Fox says they have an 8 week lead time and don't keep stock in those either. Thanks for all your input guys!

Will 600lb springs be ok on the kings or should I go with the 650lb or 700? I have a front ARB bumper, no winch at the moment but plan to, just don't know when. RTT is mounted in the bed also
