Sorry for all the posts about this, but I have some more questions regarding my suspension I'm getting. I called and asked the guy from wheelers off road about what I need and how much it will cost extra to be able to get 3 inches of lift out of my suspension kit. He said that because my truck is a double cab, it would need the 883 coils instead of the 881s for the extra weight over a reg or ex cab and also that the 881 coils wont be able to get to 3 inches. I forgot to ask him about stuff for the rear to make it level, so I will either ask him tomorrow or on here if someone answers the question here lol. So, is what he saying true? I'm brand new to this so again apologies for the numerous questions about this, but I could use some enlightenment.

Actually it is. If you have more weight up in the front like a plate bumper it should ease it a bit since the 883s are stiffer coils same length as 881s I believe. Mine came with a top plate spacer on the driver side coilover for the lean.

Not saying it's bad, it's manageable you get used to it.

Well when I get the suspension and tires I'll be pretty broke so I guess I'd have to wait and get used to it. Is it atleast better than OEM? And also, could I add something like a bull bar on the front instead of a plate bumper?

I've seen your other posts and what I think you should do is wait, research more, then decide what lift is right for you. If you search around on TW you'll find every possible answer when it comes to suspension. You are saying you are new to this and you are at the right place to get all the info you need. Just take some time and do some digging.

Don't jump into something now just to have it, then kick yourself in the ass later because you wasted money on it and now you have to get the right suspension. I've been there and done that with A LOT of car/truck related items and have wasted thousands of dollars. Do it right the first time, save your self some cash and headaches.

Haha starting to sound like my truck. I do have a bull bar up front, I'd say it won't do much cause bull bars are kinda flimsy with a tube. It's really not that bad you will get used to it but got to take it easy. I'll be buying a plate bumper in the near future

I've been doing a good amount of research. And I really cant wait much longer. All my suspension is shot. Shocks are the original Toyota factory ones, coils are bad, leaf springs are flat, and all ball joints are bad as well. And also, 3 of my tires are dry-rotted, one of which has no tread on it. So, I cant get the tires until I get the suspension because if I do, then the tread will wear quicker and unevenly. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand and agree with what you're saying, but its getting to the point where theres absolutely no confidence in my truck when I drive it. Every bump is felt and big ones feel like a wrecking ball hit me. And to add to my issues, I have a transmission that is possibly going out. So, I'm atleast trying to get things that relate to be having safe trips out of the way and focus on other things for it.

I feel you on that. Been there before a few times with a few different cars. Good luck getting everything worked out. I know it can be a major pain in the ass.

Only thing I can say is that if you order the 883's, WOR will make the leafs match for 3 inches of lift. But I must profess that 2 inches is more than enough especially with 31X10.5's. At my age it's hell getting into the truck 1st thing, and the Wife unit bitches a lot about getting in, but getting out is easy.
3 to me is kinda pushin it, and you WILL have to replace the rear brake hose and watch how far the driveshaft gets pulled out.

Well my friend if you have any $$$$ at all saved for this or otherwise, the VERY FIRST THING I'd do is your lower ball joints, then the uppers & check those tie rod ends, then get you some decent rubber on the ground ,even if they're a used set, the saggy suspension can wait a bit All I mentioned are safety issues & trust me you don't want a lower ball joint going out on you while driving

I do have money saved for it. Whch is why I've been asking so many questions. No point in wasting money. Ball joints are going to be the first thing I replace.

I thought the max lift without anything being harmed is 3 1/2 inches? And I'm 19 so the entering wont be a problem lol. If it were up to me I'd get a 6 inch lift but parents will drive it every now and then.

Thanks. At one point I was ready to give up on it when I realized how much stuff needs to be fixed/replaced. But I realized that with some elbow grease, I'll have a truck that can last longer than me lol

It's 3" anything over will compromise other components. Yeah you don't really want a 6" anyways.
Also forgot to mention that if you do get the full ome kit that down the road you'll have to replace your UCAs cause it's impossible to get a perfect alignment without. Also whatever you decide to put in the rear like an add a leaf or full dakar pack it's wise to replace the rear brake line.

Will I need upgraded UCAs or just get normal ones? Im assuming because its old? Also, I am getting the Dakar pack. I think they include a brake line extension or something along the lines of that.

Upgraded aftermarkets. Your mid end ones would be light racing and camburg UCAs. While the higher end UCAs would be like total chaos and icon. Replacing the old ones with the same OEM UCAs won't help at all due to the newer dimensions that the coilovers would be giving.
