Need this mounted here. How should I do this?

Thats normally a better idea to get a local answer. Just remember local law/state laws could differ so just be careful to avoid trouble

you will have to find a cradle or other kind of device to go with it, or you can fabricate your own mount. I made one out of sheet metal for my handie-talkie so that I could clip it in using the belt clip for my old car.

According to Monitoring Times scanners are legal in VA and WV, as long as you are not doing anything illegal.

Had the law checked out by a local officer. It is legal to have one in your vehicle on in WV.

Lol true. Idk if they make it or if you can do it but maybe do one of those sticky pads that hold stuff on the dash and such. Not that you like stick them to the dash but the material its made of is resistant to movement. Not sure if that makes sense or not.

Or maybe a velcro strip. I know its not the most ideal solution but sometimes ghetto rigging is the best way to go, and the cheapest. Sorry not trying to offend anyone by calling it ghetto, maybe call it jerry-rigging instead, but that could offend jerry. Nvm call it what you want lol but it may work

 

What state was that in that he had the radar detector taken? I just would like to know so I can take mine down if I ever pass through there.

Lol yeah that was why I was afraid to say the scanner wouldnt be under the same jurisdiction though. Although it seems it is legal so thats good. I would just be careful with having it period if I were you

This is what I used and it works pretty well. I did use some double sided tape on the side to stabilize it for rough roads. You can adapt most mounts for phones and things with a little customization.

Scroll down the list and select Tacoma. This is a 'universal' mount designed to work specifically with our trucks. Once installed, you can attache anything you want to it. A simple L-Bracket would be able to do this. I've seen people mount iPads off an L-Bracket.
