Not so much offroading (beach occasionally) but mostly for the snow. Nor'easters are getting worse and heading north up a mountain in ski season is no joke.

I would not change the tire size without getting an alignment. You will see improved handling and fuel economy as well as reduced tire wear if your truck is properly aligned. Do you really want to skip the $80 alignment if it protects your $1000 investment in tires?

what was the wear like on your old tires? was your truck pulling to one side or the other? to tell you the truth, I have had mine checked several times since the last alignment (143,000 miles ago) and it is still spot on and I am presently on my third set of tires since the last alignment...very doubtful you need an alignment if you are not having problems....and this is with a 1st gen with 285,000 total miles to date...you are okay....

Never haggled with a tire shop. How would you even do that other than ask if they could go lower? Real question...

For me I simply got on my phone and found the same tire $45 cheaper and said I would buy the set here if they match. I settled at $30 less per tire and free disposal ($5/tire)
