Correct. What's your point? I've had BFG All Terrains, BFG KO's, BFG KO2's, BFG Mud Terrains, BFG KMs and BFG KM2's.

To be 100% on the level, I never owned KM3's.

Maybe you mis-read the post you quoted.

He says that he doesn't understand why people DON'T like KO2's. And, that he is happy with his.

Then, you said that he never owned them.

    I'm confused.

Haha. Sure, why buy the proven original when you can just get the cheap Chinese knockoff?

I ran KO2's for a little over 3 years on many offroad trips, and they never once let me down.

This is what I'm saying. I'm very happy with mine. I really think they're a great all around tire.

Continental Terrain Contact A/T's proved themselves once again this weekend in snow/mud/gravel/pavement... still haven't let me down even in Utah 4x4 situations. Just a thought.

I currently have Cooper STT Pro 265 tires that I’ve been running for a bit over 2 years and I’m very happy with them. They’ve been through lots of various terrain (mud, sand, snow, rocks, long road trips on pavement) and haven’t given me anything to complain about. I had Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs before the Coopers and the road noise with the Coopers seems to be a lot better, anecdotally of course.

Ive had extremely good luck with Toyo AT2's. I've driven in rain and snow, but not mud or rocky terrain. They've handled everything I've driven through really well. Road manners are amazing too, very quiet.

Honestly i don't understand all the bad talk on the K02's. They are great and are lasting me quite some time.

I'll be another vote for Cooper St maxx. These tires have 57,000 miles on them and plenty of tread. Great traction in any condition i have had them in and still ride relatively quiet and nice even for an E rated tire

Got my first truck 3 months ago and put on C rated KO2s. They act way too "squirrelly, sway, drift" on the highway at anything greater than 50 MPH. Feels like you're driving in a headwind. I got them rebalanced and alignment done, no change. Had stock Dunlop Grandtrek tires on when I bought it and was very smooth. Enjoy the look of the KO2s but driving experience is so poor. Deciding on which A/T tires to move to now. Maybe I'm not used to how trucks drive or I got bad set of KO2s but I can't understand how anyone enjoys driving with them on highways.

You likely need more caster. Techs don’t deviate from factory specs unless requested. A little positive caster (1-3 degrees) on a Tacoma makes a world of difference!

Great discussion here and a good opportunity for me to learn about popular / best tire choices for me 2005 Tacoma.

I have the Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my truck but I didn't choose them -- they came with the truck (which I bought used). Honestly, people tell me they look cool but they are overkill since I am not doing hardcore off road driving on them. Overall, they have been good but I would not buy them myself only because I really don't need that serious of an off road tire.

That said, I wonder if anyone has looked at the Nokian tires for small to medium sized trucks? I will look at them more closely when my current tires are ready to be replaced but I have time. I had a set of the Nokians on my daily driver (BMW) and have to say they are by far the best tires I have ever had on a car. I was curious as to how the truck tires would run. Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm running Kelly Edge AT's and really like them. I've put 20k on them in 6 months and there is no appreciable wear. They are good in the wet, fantastic on the beach, quiet on the road. I'm pleasantly surprised considering they are 1. Relatively inexpensive 2. A Goodyear subsidiary (had a horrible experience with Goodyear SRA's on a Jeep Liberty. Those damn things tried to kill me multiple times) They look nice as well. I'll buy another set if I ever wear these out.
