I guess I hadn't really thought about it. I'd swap my belts and panels too. I can take some pictures if you need them, looks like the other pics are the same as mine.

another question is would this be a liability issue? lets say i get in a car wreck with the car seat something happens and insurance states that the seats didn't come installed from the factory.

Good question. I doubt it. I don't think the VIN codes are specific enough to state that there are jump seats or not in the back. Plus you'd be installing factory spec equipment in existing mounting points.

I'm in a similar situation. Bought a new 15 last month with the utility package. Really wanted the rear seats, but couldn't find a base access cab with them in a 4 state radius. Ended up getting a very good deal that I couldn't pass up on the color (mgm) I wanted. I really only want the rear seat bottoms, don't care about the headrests. I didn't think about the storage covers being different, just assumed they would be the same. Have searched ebay and local junk yards, but still can't seem to find the seats. Dealer wanted far more than the amount they deduct to install everything. Thinking about building a bench, but reading this forum it seems like a lot of people remove them, so I figured they show up for sale at some point.

I got the same truck same color what did you get yours for otd? I know prices change regional I got mine for 24k and its 4x4 but a manual. The prices around here are high and like you couldn't find a base model with seats in the color I wanted.

The item referred to as "seats" in mine are still there under the plywood deck the only thing I removed was the consul between them. If I ever want to torture any one I can put the plywood in the bed.

If you're going to be dealing with an infant car seat and will also need to have someone in the passenger seat that is over say 4 feet tall I would stop now. Just get a double cab. I bought a new access cab in 05 and loved it. Daughter was born in 07 and the truck was essentially useless to go anywhere as a family until she was in a regular car seat. Then it was still very cramped and as she got older and started to complain I caved and bought a double cab.

This is the hard part. We had no debt other than the truck and i was always driving around rust buckets. Finally got my 2015 and bam now kids. Im in denial that the ac will be a pain just for the fact ill loose my butt on it.

I've actually never seen them for sale. They are kind of unweildly to ship, and if you factor in the rear fascia panel, shipping (due to size) would be exorbitant.

Believe me losing a few grand on the truck will pale in comparison to other things you'll soon start paying for. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't change a thing but I never imagined being a parent would be so expensive. Diapers, clothes, formula, more furniture, swim lessons, dance classes, gymnastics, soccer.... Also get any projects you have in mind done NOW. Soon you'll have no time for oh about 5 years. Congratulations by the way. Being a dad is by far the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced.
