Need to borrow- 4WP Factory Tacoma Bed Stiffeners - 61748W

I really want a set of 4WP bed stiffeners but I cannot find them anywhere. Does anyone hav e set they have not installed that they would let me borrow? I will pay shipping. I just want to copy them to make my own set.

Pretty shitty to admit you just want to rip off someone else’s work. At least don’t be lazy and make the effort to design your own.

 

considering that 4wp no longer manufactures them, is it really still 'ripping off' if they are fundamentally unpurchaseable?

@Kwikvette is also trying to aquire a set so he can laser cut the components, and has been unsuccessful so far as well.

I would normally agree but 4wheel parts has been allowing people to place orders and taking their money despite knowing that this part has been out of stock for months.
I've personally tried contacting them 3 times to get an update and they have no information to provide.

 

Oh if that the case, then I say DO IT!!!
Normally I don’t like the idea of ripping things off,,, items or ideas, but this should be open season.

 

Why are u set on this brand ? Why not.just cancel the order and buy ones from another manufacturer that’s in stock . All of them do the same thing just different design .

 

I’m going to run a set of @BamBeds sliders. All of the others will interfere.

I ordered some in June '23, the order was cancelled and they sent me this email:

'Thank you for choosing 4WP.

We apologize but your item is either on backorder or discontinued.

Your order will be submitted for cancelation.

If you wish to look for substitutes for similar items that are in stock please call our sales line to place a new order.

877-695-7809.'

The company was sold and they closed a bunch of stores. Those stiffeners aren't coming back. Copy the F out of 'em.

 

for me, i'll also add i don't mind ripping off designs from companies that blatantly copy/sell others xeroxed ideas, significantly over-charge for their products/services, or imply that their normal, basic design is something special, unique, or incredible, when it is none of those things..

heck, i got into this whole vehicle customization game all thanks to CinCity Designs and their custom angel eye/demon eye projector headlight alterations for an eye-watering $2k 15 years ago... my car was worth that much, so i learned what i had to from their finished-product demo video's, then replicated the end-result for $300 in parts.
