    Do the 3rd gen have stake bed holes under the plastic covers and whats the thread size for an automatic shift knob?

    Captqc is right, no stake holes. You could install your own- true value and tractor supply sell them.

    Google the words “2x4 stake pockets” - there’s a lot of different ones offered from Amazon, Walmart online, etc., but to see them in person, walk into any True Value or Tractor Supply hardware store if you have them. I like the ones True Value sells, they are painted black and only have 1 mounting hole on each side, that would be easier and cleaner looking for drilling to mount them on your bed than the 2-hole per side mounts. If you don’t want to drill your side rails, I’ve seen a self standing stakeside project that supports itself without drilling into the truck sides- can’t find it though.
