Need to know what TPMS profiles will work with 2017

Does anyone know what other TPMS profiles (15 camry, 07 tundra, etc.) actually work with 2017 models? Discount tried 15 and 16 Tacoma, 15 and 16 Camry, and they can't get a signal from them. For reference, I have a 17 with 16" TRD Pro wheels. I swapped my tires at about 100 miles. 100o miles later, and we can't get it figured out.

The TPMS system shows no values for any of the tires. It is blinking for a minute after I start up and switches to a solid light after.

FWIW, they offered to pay the dealership fee of ~$80 to fix it, but they are good guys at my local DT so if I can avoid it, I would like to.

Can ANYONE help me with this?

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
what work did you have done? just new tires on factory wheels/sensors?

if you're using the same tpms sensors that came with the truck, no need to input new IDs...when the tires are rotated you just hold the reset button next to hood release.

if they unnecessarily tried to reprogram the ecu, you likely need to have your sensor IDs scanned and input into the tpms ecu.

This 3rd gen TPMS system is a disaster. It's not rocket science, and it shouldn't be this messed up. Really strange that the 16 Tacoma didn't read it. I've been without individual read-outs for a year now since the first rotation. The yellow light is out but no read-outs on the corners. Done the reset per the manual multiple times. No luck. Had the dealer do it once, not going to spend the money again.

Good luck. I know this didn't help much.

Yes, they are the original sensors, they were never removed. Only the tires were swapped.

The button doesn't do anything. That just resets the new pressure values when you change them. (or at least as I understand it) I tried it anyways.

I don't really understand the system, but they need to be able to read the signals. DT can't even find the signal with their device. I've heard of people saying their sensors went into sleep mode. It almost sounds like that happened.

    Does this make any sense?

Never heard of sensors going to "sleep", but apparently mine are, except that the yellow caution light is out.

How did you get the light to go out?

I wouldn't care if the system wasn't working, as I regularly visually inspect anyways. However, its a brand new truck. I shouldn't have to put tape over it or just ignore it.

it sounds like the guys at DT didn't know what they were doing or how the new sensors work and messed it up. take it toyota, have them scan the sensors and input the correct IDs using techstream. theres no reason the sensors would stop working except for the techs messing with them

Alright, I'll do it. I just hate that the dealership charges that much for something so simple. I have spent over $100k with them this year. If it was my customer, I'd do it without a charge.

i agree but there never should have been a need to reprogram in the first place. at least discount offered to pay for it

I swapped my SR5 steel wheels for the TRD Pro 17's. I used the original sensors, but had to flip them 180 to get them to fit. After the original installation at DT. the corner readouts wouldn't work, but the Yellow light on the dash was out. Took it to the dealer and spent 140.00 to get them working. They had to break down the tires to get the codes off the sensors. All was well until the first rotation. After the re-set per the manual, the corners are dashes, but the yellow is out on the dash. Not a clue what is going on. I check mine myself regularly so living with it. The yellow light on the dash would definitely piss me off, but mines out.

Agreed. Like they said, they are good guys up there.

I'll raise a little hell with the dealership. Maybe it will make me feel better about it.

thats weird, they should have just been able to scan them, no need to unmount tires. only thing i can think of is maybe they just arent getting a good signal the way they are turned. it seems like warranty should cover this, especially since you already paid out of pocket and they broke again

agreed, why would the dealership charge you for sensors that aren't working under the warranty terms? no way they can say that changing tires voids the TPM sensors warranty

Toyota customer service is total shit. Dealerships are even worse. I had suck ass livermore stealership tell me it was going to take a couple of hours to reprogram my one tpms sensor when I had gotten a full size spare cause of some damage to one of my wheels. I bought a genuine toyota tpms sensor because of how temper mental they are. at 100+ an hour I wasnt going to pay over 200 bucks for these morons to reprogram a fn sensor that takes about 20 minutes to do. Went to Les Schwab tires and they did it for 22.50. had it done in less than 20 minutes. F the stealership at all costs. They rip you off and are completely incompetent and are lying crooks.

i had to buy these from tirerack to get my aftermarket winter tires to work, first to read, other to program into truck. I tried to get truck into learning mode, only worked once, but it failed to register.
