How important is it that I replace it with OEM vs one from Orielly or autozone? They're about 80 cheaper than the dealership. If it wasn't engine related I wouldn't be asking, but I want my truck running at tip top shape!

If it were my truck and my day installing it I'd buy it from oem. I never had good luck with autozone stuff. Lifetime warranty covers the part but who wants to do it twice. Friend of mine just replaced his starter 3 times with orielly starter finally got a good one, they didn't even question him when he brought them back just threw it behind the counter and handed him another'.

Don't go to the dealer, get it online, try Camelback first.

I would've just spent the extra 20 and went with OEM.

Hope it work out for you

AISIN is the OEM brand pump. It's exactly the same as what Toyota installed on your truck when new. That's why it was only $20 less than the dealer price versus all the other cheaper water pumps out there.

Parts Dan at 1-800-432-6668 is a good source for discount OEM Parts from a reputable dealer. Usually about 20% off of normal dealer prices plus frt. Though unless you are in Colorado you also save sales tax. Lots of the 80 series guys use him for parts with great success.

Autozone pumps are fine. If you wanna feel cool go buy the oem one.
