I can help in the food department. Theres a restaurant at the end of the lake that isn't too shabby, but the good stuff is in arden/ Asheville. Rocky's hot chicken shack on Sweeten creek road in arden is wicked. i get their rocky's way sandwich honey style with poppers (fried macaroni and cheese balls), honestly everything there is wicked good. If you like wings, Post 25 on Hendersonville road in arden has the best wings i have ever had, they're called tiger wings, about the size of a fist and they are so dang good. another is Jucy Lucy's on hendersonville road in biltmore forrest, awesome burger place. blue sky cafe and kosta's kitchen in fletcher are really good as well and right down the street from where i work. i know these are a little ways from the area you are staying in but i hope it helps. holler if you have any more questions
