    All,

I am going to be lifting my truck 4" and running a 285/70 tires on a 17" wheel. Looking for wheel recommendations.

1). What are your thoughts--good or bad certain brands? I am interested in the XD844, for example, but have heard poor opinions on XD in general.

Brands I am considering but not limited to: Fuel, XD, SCS, Icon, Method

2). I am going to be using 1.25 spacers. Is there a preferred wheel width? I am likely going with 17x9, but I wondering if there is a notable difference in say 8.5-10".

If you're looking at getting something in the 0 or -12ish offset, I'd recommend not getting the spacers. You'll wind up with like 2+ inches of poke. Unless the bro look is what youre going for.

Suggest to find wheels with the offset you like. Avoid using spacers.

Why run spacers if you are purchasing new wheels? Just purchase wheels with the back spacing you are looking for

Reason for the spacers is my understanding with the BDS lift, spacers is the only way you can use a 17" wheel. I could be wrong though. You have a valid point

This is basically what I am trying to accomplish:

I don't think it pokes out that much. This is a -12 offset..however I don't know if spacers in this video are being used on second thought...... maybe I should just get 18"s

If you want more poke, check out wheels in the high negative offset, like -20 to -38.

I mean I'm definitely not trying to have the "bro" look with too much poke but I'm second guessing myself now on what my original idea would look like

For reference, stock OR wheels with 1.25 inch spacers have almost the same poke as 16x8 wheels with 3.5 BS and -10ish offset without spacers.

All the wheels you mentioned are good in quality. Pick the style you want. That’s the important thing. Unless you go with a hybrid forged/fully forged wheel your gonna have very similar strength.
