3" Revtek spacer kit in front w/ aal and 1" block in rear. No TSB aal installed yet. Spider Trax spacers.
Start with the BBB then go to the Attorney Generals office. They will both contact the dealer with your problems and you can bet the dealer will be on top of making this go away. Either by fixing the problems or by getting you out of the truck.

The last thing a dealer wants is to be contacted by either of these 2 offices.

^^^^ The BBB is corrupt all you have to do if you are a business is pay money and they will remove stuff off your record. I put no stock in the BBB.

I have the tire shake issue. I need to go back. I've already had them road force balanced and 2 of them replaced but it still does it more often than not. Just don't have time to go to the dealership every week to have it looked at.

1st thing, I would NEVER spend 30k on a truck without taking it for a GOOD road test on the ROAD. Lesson learned there I am sure.

As for Lemon Laws, the only way you can get any chance at winning a lemon law complaint is that the vehicle has to be original owner (check), it has to still be under factory warranty (check) the 3 complaints must be on a safety system, or major component. (not-checked) Tires are not considered under lemon laws, because the tires are not manufactured specifically for Toyota. I have been involved in several lemon law attempts at the dealerships where I have worked, and tires are one item that are thrown out quickly. I do agree that the best course of direction is to do an initial filing complaint with the BBB, and also contact the district manager for Toyota. District managers have more power to get things done. Remember that a dealership is a privately owned business that merely has a license to sell a vehicle. Toyota does not own the dealerships. (Yes, there are a FEW corporate dealerships in the US, but they are far and in between. If there is a name on the door other than Toyota, it is simply a licensed franchise) I would be looking at taking it to a different dealership. You are not required to take your new truck to a specific dealership for repairs. Just doing a Google I show World Toyota in North Atlanta, Sandy Springs Toyota in Sandy springs (North side of Atlanta), Team Toyota on the west side, and Marietta Toyota nearby as well. All of these locations are obligated to repair your Toyota under warranty or recalls. I suggest go to THEM, as it seems that your issue is more with the service department than Toyota itself. Just my $.02 worth.

I take offense to that. You can't just generalize all service departments as corrupt. While there are some out there, the majority of them are quite reputable. If not, the corporate offices would yank their franchise license fast. (I have seen dealerships lose their license due to service complaints)
I spent 20 years working for dealerships, and I know that the places I worked at were very strong in getting things fixed right, and keeping the customers happy. After all, if customers are not happy, they will take it somewhere else, and a shop cannot survive strictly on warranty work.

Yea I made a few mistakes regarding the purchase of this truck, not denying that. Now i'm serving the consequences. Let me just clarify that I am totally content with owning a toyota tacoma. I love the tacoma, just not my tacoma. I was just using the other brand/models as leverage...

As of right now...I just had the tranny replaced. I argued and scrapped for a new transmission, but they denied me. They said they only put in rebuilt tranny's unless they are out of supply. After all the gripe and scrapping they told me it ended up being a new tranny afterall...

i left the dealership once the repair was completed. Now i have a loud tranny whine while i drive. It sounds as if the car has audio alternator whine. Every time the truck down shifts it whines out. Went back to the dealership to raise hell and they say its "Not out of the ordinary" for the transmission to do this... I could strangle these guys! Its loud, i kid you not. Oh btw, the service manager looked into it, they put in a reman tranny and told me it was a new one...

Now they have opened a tech case regarding the noise and are requesting a service specialist come out from Corp Toyota to inspect the vehicle and decide if the vehicle is "quality built". Which im sure they will think. This is scheduled for Nov 26th. I'm not optimistic given my previous experience and certainly not getting my hopes up.

According to the government website regarding lemon laws for the state of GA. There would have to be 3 subsequent repairs of the same issue. Or one opportunity to fix any safety issue. Given the dangers regarding the transmission issues i was originally experiencing, could this be considered a legit safety issue? even more...could this have been their one attempt to repair the issue?

Oh when riding on the highway and surface roads I am also hearing odd trans-axle whine (i don't know if whine is the right description. Almost like a whobble/whine) when riding on the highway and surface roads. Kind of sounds like what you'd expect out of an old truck...

Is anyone else experiencing this in their tacoma? is this natural behavior? or do you think this could be as a result of the transmission slamming in and out of gear? Could this have caused any issues with the torque converter, drive shaft, rear trans-axle?

    or do this https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

I did it for the vibrations problem on my 2012. If you search, my write up is in there. I got a lemon also, been to the dealer 6 times, and have another appointment this coming week for same probs. I've had mostly drivetrain issues with shudder and trans grind or failure to stay in gear (6spd). Also had bunch of rattles from console, seat and power window. Latest prob is steering column knock, heard there's a TSB for that.

In a simple answer, no. A transmission problem, regardless of what it is, will not be considered a safety item.

If you are this unhappy with the truck I would sell it to a private party or if you have to trade it in for a different vehicle Ford Chevy etc.. Take Toyota to court ask them to buy it back but this amount of stress is not worth it. I do not think you will ever be happy with the vehicle you will always find something wrong with it. I was in the electronics industry and I had customers that would nit pick the product it did not matter what we did the customer seemed to never be happy. You might (no offence) fall into this category. I have done the same thing I thought something I had was "bad" and it did not matter what any one told me to me it was junk. I'm not denying you probably have issues with you vehicle and that sucks.

Finally had a specialist out from corporate to look at my truck...took about a month to get them out. They confirmed the transmission was not working satisfactory and authorized its replacement. They are in the process of installing it right now. They also identified the odd noise coming from the rear end and are currently adding more fluid to the rear trans-axle to see if this resolves the issue.

Hopefully this we be the end of all my issues. Im ready for a working truck. Cant wait to give back this corolla they have me in.

Funny advice here, I bought my truck off the showroom floor,. Never drove it. it is warrantied and protected by me. I love it. Only issue is whistle but I dont care..

Lemon laws are a bitch. I have a 06 Charger that was almost rebuilt within the 2 years of ownership. I hade to have the Hemi replaced at 38000 miles. That cost me and my wife 9,048.00 The reason was found to be faulty sensors and a bad thermostat. We went the lemon law route and wasted nothing but money on attorney fees and crap.. Solved problem by taking it to q different dealer with better service and trained mechanics. Good luck..
