so a buddy at the gym that i talk trucks with is offering me a pair of 97 civic seats. the price is right, a 40 oz of whiskey lol but they are a little beat up on the drivers side but the drivers seat has power so thats a plus. just wondering what you guys think if i should go for it and just re do the upholstery or maybe some wet okle seat covers or just dont bother?

Can you do the reupholstery yourself, or do you have an economical hookup for it? If you have to pay an upholstery shop the cost of the re-skinning may be more than the seats are worth to you.

the reason i wanted new seats wasnt for leather lol it was because the taco seats are tooo uncomfortable for my long commutes. i bought the seats this afternoon for 40 bucks and they really arent even as bad as the pictures make them out to be. i think that illl look into getting them fixed up and if thats too much ill prob just buy some wet okle seat covers. the drivers side is power though... anyone happen to know whats needed to hook that up so it works?

lol no worries i was looking at some corbeau seats and they arent that bad cause you can get the propper rails for your truck but theyre really pricey. i figure i can take these seats and just swap my current seat rails and try and fit them on the accord seats. might be a bit of a bi%$h but ill give it a go. for less then 40 bucks whats the harm i figured. still just wondering how to hook up the power to the driverside seat....

I would say go for them. To get them reupholstered wouldnt cost too much if your dad knows the guy. if not try to get one of those DIY leather cover things like CST/Katskins made for a 97 civic
