Need your vin ran for diff recall ?

Hey guys, if you need assistance with getting your vin ran to see if it's on the diff recall list. Just post it and I'll do my best to let you know. I hope to help you guys out.

Oh shit I'm sitting in the dealer meeting now listening to Toyota on conference call, and my taco is on the recall list

 

It was also seeping all around the diff in like 6 places slightly

 

I will say this. Even tho people give crap to others on here for stupid threads and not searching for topics. When it comes down to it people on here always try to help other members. Always a good thing to see in today's world.

 

I'll check right now it looks like vins are being ran like crazy so system is REALLY slow. Give me a few and I'll get back with you guys.

I wonder how much weeping is considered normal? Here's my 2016 with 20K miles.

Seems odd that it's just around the sides, and nothing on the bottom.

 

When I read the bulletin in the other thread just now it looks as if every Taco sold in the 3rd gen era is under recall. They make about 190,000 or so Tacos per year.

 

1% of 228,000 trucks between 2016 and 2017 so yeah that's pretty much all of them. Toyota estimated 1% but thats probably a lowball estimate.

 

Now I've got to re-read it...I didn't see the 1% part

 

You know Toyota is going to aim low on that estimate, if they put up gaudy failure prediction numbers the news media would be all over them.
