"The Long Long Trailer" (Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz) could have traumatized many.

After looking at theses few pics. am thinking I have to watch “mickeys trailer” again. It seems the end is rather satirical. I mean it can’t be as traumatic as ET.

Destroyed? I think it survives that video. Watch the next 2.

I would argue that trailer is more than you want to tow with a tundra even. You either want a much bigger truck or a much smaller trailer.

It still drives after the first video. In the third, he drops it from a helicopter 1000 ‘s of feet above the ground. It’s pretty much destroyed after that.

    Agreed!
I’d have to ask on the specs, but my buddy had a similar sized TT with a Tundra, it definitely towed it, but we beat it’s ass at highway speeds,,,, like single digit MPGs, but he also drives fast. It was ridiculous to park and setup, but nice for several adults. The juice wasn’t worth the squeeze for less than 3-4 nights of hunting or rifle matches. He voted it off the island after he took his family to Yellowstone.

Trailers are a waste of money most people buy these and they just sit in the garage . Used only few times a year to camp .you are better off with buying a rtt .

One could argue RTT are a waste of money. Most people just leave them on their roofs all year and only use them a few times a year to camp. You’re better off staying home.

Tacomas are a waste of money. Most people never off-road, tow, or carry anything. Better off getting a Ridgeline.

I have a Casita 17' fiberglass trailer with a dry weight of 2400 lbs and 450 hitch, I would say this is pretty close to the max I would tow any long distance with a tacoma. I am not one to pay attention to load ratings but wind resistance is a killer with a travel trailer. It is rounded off like an egg so probably more aerodynamic than most RV's. If I stay at 65 ish mph the tacoma does OK. If I try for 70-75 = sitting a 3,000 + RPM getting 9 MPG. I cant imagine doubling the weight, sounds like a good way to kill a transmission and motor.

We towed a 17 foot Casita with a 1500 V8 3.7 Silverado all the way to Alaska and back from Iowa. Cruising speed 60-65 and of course mountains were fun. Had a great time and saw a lot of stuff the cruise lines don't let you see. No problems at all and I am sure the newer larger Tacomas would not have any problems.
