I’m looking for a manual transmission for a 1999 V6 4x4 TRD Tacoma. Seems to be the hardest thing to find so far. Does anyone have any contacts they are will in share.

I'm not the most knowledgeable on the subject, but you're in the market for a R150F transmission, doesn't have to be from a 1999. You didn't really mention where you're located, but I assume you'll want to find something locally to avoid shipping costs. Maybe check with a few of your local wrecking yards to see if they have any in decent shape... you'll most likely need to pull it out yourself, so tools and a transmission jack and a helper would be useful.

How close are you to Reno, Nevada? There’s a yard called NNAWG Reno Airport, they have rows of Tacomas. I bought my A340F complete with Transfer Case for $450.

I’m located in New Mexico. The local junk yards don’t have much in terms of Tacomas as of recently. Shipping isn’t the concern. I just don’t want a transmission that’s not gonna leave me hanging a few miles down the road. I’ve had a couple transmission shops look into it as well and oddly enough they’ve all seem to come up short in finding one. And no one likes to rebuild them either.
