I saw the oil on the front, bottom drivers side of motor several weeks ago. I washed it off good in hopes of finding where it was coming from. The oil is back in the same spot so I took it to the dealership this morning. I have 58400 miles on my truck. They called and said to come pick it up and that there wasn't any leak at all. They are saying this oil at the bottom of the engine is dripping down from the oil filter after oil change.

I asked if their was oil around the filter or filter area now and the answer was no. I know this isn't where the oil is coming from because I change my oil and wipe off all excess oil after changing the filter and there isn't oil anywhere between the filter(top of motor) and leak(bottom of motor). Frustrated to say the least.

I have the same after my oil change. I was in a hurry and didn't put anything under the drain next to the filter. When I took the filter off, oil ran down onto the engine. You may have been more meticulous than I was, though.

I don't let the oil from my filter free fall. I always use a hose to guide it into oil container. I really don't think this is related to oil changes at all

Timing chain cover leak? I don't know if this was still a problem on the 11.

Pressure wash the area and take for a test drive. If no leak is readily visible clean VERY well and apply 2 coats of white paint and drive it for a day or two.

I've cleaned the area and it came back. Took it to dealer, they cleaned it and it came back yet they said it's not leaking. I cleaned it again and now 3k miles later it is back. I'm taking it to another dealer next week

We're you able to locate the leak from cleaning the area?
