Wanna see if you guys can give me any ideas bc im stuck. Was pulling my ds cv axle today and the needle bearing fell apart when the axle came out. Used a magnet to get all the pieces out. Thankfully nothing slid back into the diff. Grabbed a ecgs bushing from a shop in town. Now im stuck with the sleeve in the diff. I got a puller and slide hammer from autozone and at first it broke off all the edges of the sleeve but now it seems like its curling the inside edge back out towards me which might get it out eventually. Tried cutting it out and that didnt work at all

Compressed air in a spray can will get to -60F if sprayed upside down.
Would that work to shrink the sleeve while trying to pull it out?
    Idk? :notsure:

Have to use the proper tool…….everything’s else will simply destroy the bearing. But you know that now.

Where are you located? Maybe someone close has the tool to loan or help.

On another vehicle, I once had to cut that sleeve out with a dremel and peel it out piece by piece. Not fun but it worked.

Did the tool not work for you?

I tried to do that on my front diff bearing last year when the special tool snapped in half... I gave up cutting it and just rented every single type of puller the store had. Finally got it out with a steering wheel puller and a rusty slide hammer.

I ended up using a blind bearing puller like below where the bit expands and covers more of the bearing circumference. Might work for your situation

This^ but even with that I had to modify the tool a bit to make it work
