I have a 23 tacoma I lifted about 10,000km ago. About a week ago after coming back from an offroading trip I could start to hear a growling sound at around 45-60kph, and a ever so slight vibration under my feet. Goes away instantly once you switch to 4hi (even if the 4hi light is blinking) From searching around, im guessing its the needle bearing.

Debating if I should try and get it diagnosed or just replac the bearing with ECGS without diagnosing. ($140 vs about $450).

If it is the bearing, how long so I have before it becomes a grenade and takes the diff with it? I can get it into the shop on the 16th but trying to take a big trip before that.

I went a year and 9,000 miles on mine before “fixing it”.
Order the bushing, and do it once you get back from your trip.
