Needle bearings gone bad?

So lately I've developed a "metal on metal" noise coming from the front end. And for the life of me I cannot figure out what exactly it is. Wheel bearings have both been replaced within the last year. Brakes I just changed this past weekend. My question is, what are the symptoms of the needle bearings gone bad? I've searched a bit but have come up short handed. I've also noticed the noise somewhat goes away with brakes applied when going down the highway?

I'm really confused...I've taken the brakes apart numerous times this week and inspected and re torqued everything

Is this a needle bearing issue or possibly a cv issue? The noise isn't a clunk. It's more of a faint "tinney" noise, however I've checked the dust guard clearance against the disk and it clears by a mile.

Could this also be a carrier bearing issue? I know I said it was coming from the front end, but now I'm second guessing myself haha. My carrier bearing does have some play in it. About 1/4-3"8 of an inch.
