Immediately after installing some 17x9 wheels with -8mm offset I noticed a droning noise when driving. This wasn't present with factory wheels I had on just before, and I am using the same tires. Could the negative offsets add a force to push a worn bearing over the edge, or is there something else besides the hub bearings that I should check?

Go make sure all of the lug nuts are tight. Also make sure you have the proper type of lug nuts for the wheels.

All lugs were torqued to 83 ft/lbs. Am using the appropriate acorn nuts for these wheels (does not require extended acorns).
