I have a 2015 Tacoma TRD Off-road that I recently added a 6” Rough Country Coil-over Vertex lift with 18” wheels, and 35” tires. I love the way it turned out, but I am not sure about the current rake position it is sitting at.

Here are my current measurement dimensions measuring from the ground to the body:
    Front: 24.5”
    Rear: 23”

I currently have about 1” of available threads to adjust my coil overs allowing the front end to come down some.

I am trying to decide if this is too much rake. While I really like to ‘Pre-Runner’ noise up look for off roading functionality, but I want to avoid the “Bro Squat” look. I am also concerned about loading my truck up with gear causing the rear to drop more and possibly wearing out the rear suspension over time. I know some other options I have are to add spacers and or replace the rear leaf springs and I am considering this for the future.

I have been receiving a lot of positive feedback on its current position but the more I look at it the more I wonder if should adjust the front end down to avoid looking to squatted. I am looking for some opinions and feedback.

I personally would adjust it down closer to level, but honestly it looks fine in the pics.

Edit: looking at the third pic, I would definitely adjust the front down.

Just my honest opinion here, but I hate when a truck sits lower in the back than the front (unless under load, obviously). I'd lower the front a tad to level it out.

    Wrong vs wronger?

It's your truck but the 3rd pic (the one in the driveway) looks silly to me. Not to mention the headlight shootin' that you're obviously doing to all oncoming traffic.

I like having a bit of the factory rake. Remember to adjust your headlights.

Lift the rear or drop the front, it looks silly.

Personally, i think it looks stupid and non functional to have a truck thats perfectly level or rear is squatted. If you use your truck as a truck in either of those situations you just end up with even more unbalance. Theres a reason every truck on the market comes with the ass end higher than the front stock so when you put shit in the back it doesnt sit squatted unless HEAVILY loaded.

But hey you do you so long as you have been smart and have properly aimed your headlights (and please god no HID / LED bulbs in standard housings)

I love it. It sits perfect.

If you're looking to win the popularity contest you're not going to win. Your truck should be exactly like everyone else's truck so you can be popular.

6" lifts typically come with a 2-3" block. It doesn't help much with hauling gear as the spring rate hasn't changed any.

You could run an AAL with a small block or just go custom altogether with a pack like alcan for your weight needs.

The cap didn't help with the rake, which is probably why it is more pronounced than the same lift on another Tacoma.

I personally like the OEM rake, a little lower on the front end. The additional weight over the front axles makes for better handing on turns and will level out when towing.

Your truck, your money, do what you like. I don't think it looks bad but it's noticeable enough for me that I would tinker with it a bit.

I like some rake. I'd lower the front.

The rear SHOULD be about 2" higher than the front when unloaded. It will level out with a load. Anything else just ain't right.
