For those on the thread here running a 6" lift with the 35/12.5 tires, how is the highway ride?

I've got a gen1 prerunner on 33s but I am shopping for a gen2 4x4 for overlanding, considering a 6" lift on 35s with a pop-up camper. Since it's going to see a lot of highway miles I'd like to know how this configuration does on the paved paths.

What do you do with your truck? Why 6 inches?

I can tell you this much: it won't make your dick bigger.

You don't buy a truck for its fucking fenders!
    2.5" lift w/35's
I wouldn't be rock crawling with a lift that tall. Easier to roll over the higher you are. For offroad performance you want to be off the ground, but not so high that you become unstable. Just depends on what you're doing with the truck. 6" lifts look pretty good IMO, but I keep mine at about 3" and cut the shit out of it to fit 35s

    Its ugly
You lose functionality of the truck
You become dangerous in a high speed crash

It's hilarious all the negative comments here form people who never owned a 6" lifted truck.
It's like asking a Virgin "what's the negatives of having Sex?"

I've been lifting these Toyota's since Toyota has made a 4x4 truck. The first one was produced in 1979.

Man I would’ve given my left nut...and probably been willing to lose an inch elsewhere #buffedout :boink::Dfor that red and white one back in the day. Where they all yours? Side note I wish Mickey Thompson still made those tires.

Rajah all mine! I've been into these trucks ever since Toyota started making them. I loved the Mickey Thompson 18x39" tires. Those were on 15x12 weld racing rims.

    Oh?
the red and white one and the blue water design all the same truck! I custom paint cars also. The water design was Candy apple blue on a platinum pearl white.
