I don’t know OPs intentions but when I was a young lad driving a vehicle that was different and cool might get your wiener some action...is there anything more positive :oldglory:

The negatives are it costs a lot of money, a lot more can go wrong (vs stock), you lose some practicality, and everyone will make the age old "guy must have a small dick" joke about you wherever you go. I'd also say it looks stupid, but looks are subjective.

TLDR; does OP have 4x2 or 4x4? If the former, the OP can get away with a spindle lift which does not require any cutting or chopping of any kind and you get to retain your factory geometry.

I went 6" and I would do it again in a heartbeat, but that's only because I was a 4x2.
I'm running a spindle lift + 285/70/R17s on stock gears.

If I had a 4x4, I would do a 3" to avoid any cutting and additional complications. But like KTJO, if you do the research, you can still do a 6". You'll like the way it looks and you'll be happy. It is your truck after all; not any of ours. KTJO has one sexy ass truck. If money wasn't an factor, I would so go that route.

To answer the original question, the only negatives would be loss in MPGs but, you don't get a truck for it's gas mileage. If that was a concern, you'd be on a Prius forum.

The big negative is that you’ll be so high off the ground, gravity will no longer affect you, and you risk being jettisoned into space if you use ECT PWR :alien:

There’s no negative. It’s what you like. Do what you like just know that here guys feel a sense of duty to let you know it’ll mean you’re gay, stupid, have a little dick and of course let’s not forget the guys who probably aren’t qualified to change their own oil :jerkoff: let alone talk to you about the affects of an altered suspension. I’ve installed (personally with my own fucking hands) lifts of all sizes on various trucks over the last 30 years and enjoyed driving everyone em everyday as a daily driver. I’ve been married for quite awhile so my dick stays in my pants when I’m not home but I can assure you even my current truck with a mild 6” lift and 35s is a pussy magnet (doesn’t hurt I’m ruggedly handsome ) and it gets looks and compliments everyday from men and women. The best ones are the guys who refuse to look over at it at a red light all the while their girls can’t stop looking :D

Love your truck bro! What 6" brand lift did you go with? And what are your tire size? Love how your tires don't look they skipped leg day! I don't think I'll do a 6" but I'm really looking into the 4" lift but don't know what brand to go with yet.

3" is Maximum I would recommend for your truck. If you want more than get a DB lift. If you're already going to cut your cross member then just go 6".

I have yet to find "full flex" on my truck I guess.
