My neighbor bought a new Sport DCSB 2WD and he returned the truck to the dealer the next day under the Texas 48 hr. return policy for new car purchases. The rear end was howling at 55 and the cold start transmission delay was terrible (I drove it). I never heard of rear end noise issues on the new Tacomas.

He now has a new Tundra and is a happy camper.

Wonder how long the guy kept the Tundra, maybe 47 hours?

Same type of people that buy a tv for superbowl then return the day after.

That law would suck for dealers.

Welcome to Friday. From the Texas State Attorney General website: "Under Texas Law, you do not have 3 days to cancel the purchase like you may with some transactions the dealer is required to register and title the vehicle in your name within 30 days, regardless of if you owe money on the vehicle to the dealer or another financier."

There is no 48 hour return law in Texas that I could find. Unless shown proof to the contrary I call Friday BS. :)

    Hmmmmm......................

Texas Laws for a 3 Day Period when Buying a Car
    Other Considerations

Typically, cars are not sold door-to-door. As such, the three-day right to cancel does not usually apply to automobile purchases in Texas.

Sounds like your neighbor should have just gone to Enterprise, or maybe Uber.

Just under 24 hrs is about the right amount of time to be shamed for buying a 2wd truck.

Everything has it's cycle... Common knowledge.

It’s the poo of the antelope
    The poo of the giraffe
It crawls into the earth and becomes the blades of grass
The grass is eaten by the cattle which comes out the other end
To make poo for the humans and start all over again.
