    I believe they are both made of steel and will rust when chipped. Toyota OEM's are made out of aluminum so even if they chip (and they will) they will NOT rust.

    Aluminum still corrodes.

    Remember sliders and bumpers are steel. Just touch up the chips and those will last you a long time. I wouldn’t worry about rust personally.

    I have the N-Fab step bars w/ the third step on my '16, They started rusting within a month. Very thin and weak coating. I like the look of then and they provide some door protection but you will want to rhino line/ powder coat them before installation.

    So I’m assuming anything stainless will hold up a lot better

    Which look do you like, black or SS? If its black get the OEM ones if its SS just make sure of the grade of SS steel used. It does make a difference!

    Called real truck today was told the havoc stainless ones were lifetime finish warranty and were marine grade stainless. Not sure If I’m buying that I’d like to see in writing

    * edit.

    Just got off the phone with havoc finish is guaranteed for life and it’s marine grade stainless. I’ll be going with those for sure

    I was told the black coated SS steps also had a lifetime finish however the salesperson could not tell me how they mounted. On ebay it appears they mount in the OEM stock locations.

    So just curious. Why choose these over actual sliders? If you think you'll ever go wheeling, then I'd suggest sliders. You catch these on a rock and it's over.

    I can safely say she will never wheel the truck like that I built it for my wife, it will see some power lines \ hunting trails, that’s about the extent of it

    When was that? I checked on the pricing record on ebay and they have not sold for less than $340 with or without a coupon. If they can be had for cheaper I would like to know as they are expensive! These were black coated SS.
