    toy4life,

i WISH they made a roll bar for my truck, i'd buy one in a heartbeat!!!!

others on here said our plastic beds won't hold up the weight.

What about the pre 05's do they have the same type of beds or are they old school metal (no factory liner)?

If the dimensions of the pre '05 Taco's cab is close enough to the 05's+, I would think you could cut out the portion of the plastic bed liner and mount that way?

What would you mount it to? The frame? Because that's all that's under the "bed liner" since it's not a bed liner. It's a 1-piece plastic bed with NO metal in it. Only metal is the bolts holding it to the frame and a few trim/fill pieces around it or outside it (tailgate, body panels, etc).

I suppose you could cut/drill holes to send the tubes down to the frame, but you're not going to be able to strip up a layer of plastic and weld/bolt a metal bed underneath. And I mean holes the size of the tubes because if you cut out any larger portion and you won't be able to keep things in the bed.

First of all, that's a sweet looking truck. The nerf bars look nice. I think stainless steel or chrome adds so much to the look.

mjp2 posted "Not for anything but the fact that you asked us for our opinion means that you don't like it."

i dont know how to quote like you guys haha

anyway, mjp ur right. my neighbors like 'em, my family likes 'em, and you guys like 'em, but i didn't....

after having one on a few days they grew on me.

toy4life - you're right about the roll bar!!! i've talked about those a few times in diff. threads, and no one makes 'em for our trucks, but i don't care, i'm gettin one anyway!!!! :D

not sure what all i'm gonna have to do to make it fit, but eventually i get one...... so i could take or leave the nerf bars, kinda like 'em, kinda don't, but i'm gonna keep 'em because in the future when i do get a roll bar, i think they'll match nicely.

    thanks for all the input!!

I would've gone with black Nerf bars, even with the chrome bull bar

With! The contrast with the black paint looks sick.
