hay harrelsen can you tell me everything you need to do the hella 500 behind the grill mod? I'm planning to get my brother some hella 500 but i wanted to get them mounted in the center like yours.
i tried searching but i couldnt really find a a thread on it.

 

I used lifesaflaw123's method. Just purchase longer bolts (so the lights will be centered in the grille). I mounted my lights next to the grille support, I posted lifesaflaw123's pictures.

If you don't buy longer bolts, this is how it will look

may i ask how long the bolts are? or should i just wing it.

 

A 2" bolt should be enough. lifesaflaw123 used 1.5" bolts.

So after a few days of seeing the dark taillights, I decided to redo the MOD. I still need to do the third brake light, I will do it tomorrow when I am done with classes. Here are pics.

Yes, the color of the grill right now does not go with anything else, black would flow real good with bumper and black wheels.
