Hey!, Awesome Taco! I have a question for you! I have a 2011 4Door mini 5 lug. I wanna go with either the Readylift kit Or Fat Bobs Garage lift kit, which would you recommend? I want to put some 31x10.5r15 on after the lift, what wheels would you recommend for this? Sorry for all the questions im new to the taco world.

Thanks! First of all, welcome to TW. I appreciate your first post to be on my build thread!

If money is a factor, you purchase the FBG lift kit for less than $200 shipped otherwise you can buy the Readylift kit for $330. IMO, I'd run the Readylift kit.

A lifted 5 lugger looks great with black wheels. I really like my Teflon coated wheels made by American Racing. They are sell a similar wheel called Enduro that looks sweet. (See pictures below.) You can check out this thread about 5 lugger wheel setups.

    Thanks Andrew.

Cool. Just curious, why did you go with DT? Why not LCE? You did not find the 48-LED dome light?

i went with dt because of the group buy. 344 shipped.
also, the dt header has a much better low end review after doing my research. many feel that lce lied about their comparison to dt

and i didnt even bother looking for the 48. i like oznium.com alot and their products rock so i went with the superflux UV

Thanks so much for all the help! I think im gonna go with the Readylift! Do you recommend changing the rear shocks, as the will be almost maxed out? And do you have any other advice concerning lifting with Readylift and putting some 31's on my taco? Your truck is awesome! And it really helped convince me to start modding mine!

Yes, I suggest replacing the rear shocks. I've replaced my rear shocks with shocks from a 2nd Gen 4x4. You can check out the Buy/sale/trade section to see if someone is selling their used rear shocks. You can sometimes find a good set for about $40 shipped.

You will need to do the black box mod (LINK to TN), you will need to trim some of the plastic inner fender and remove a box to allow room to turn the wheel with out rubbing.

x2! be sure to post some pictures.

Thanks! I will look around and see if I can find some. I have been looking around but haven't been able to find out what exactly the black boxes are...do you now what there originally purpose is? I was just curious so I know before I take them out. Once again thanks for the help!

So I'm having some trouble capturing the light in a photo because it is uv. It is bright as he'll though and hurts to stare into it. It looks evil from the outside and ravetastic on the inside.

I know blue and cool white are super bright but the superflux is nice.
    Will post pics tonight
