Any TW users log on with a netbook? I just picked up an Asus eee pc with 160gb HD for $264, and love it! Why pay more for a DVD drive I never use. This thing is extremely portable and will work great with my Emanage System. The only gripes I have is that, my hands are waaaaay to big for the keys... oh well. What do you guys think?

I have one and use it all the time. I have the 1000HA and I upgraded the ram to 2GB and the hard drive to a 500GB.

I wish I could say that you'll get used to the keyboard, but I don't think you will. That keyboard is tiny.

If/when you start having problems hearing the audio over the speakers, you can download a program called VLC player that will allow you to turn up the media's volume to 200%.

none except for crappy hub caps and floor mats.
I'm thinking of getting one myself. We have a tower PC upstairs for professional work. I only use my work laptop for browsing online. Its ancient and slow. $200 seems pretty cheap.

I wouldn't get anything smaller than the 10" screen. The keys on the 8.9" keyboard were literally too small for anything but my little fingers.

I've been wanting to get one for a while now. I was using a Latitude D430 and D420 on and off for work when I travelled. I loved the size of that, 12.1".

I want to get something soon, preferably something I can install OSX on.

Yeah, the Mini 9 can do it very well, but the HD is SSD, which is expensive to upgrade right now.

I'm going to wait for the Dual Core Atoms to come out.

I have a Asus 1000HE, with 2G memory, 160G hard drive running Vista Business, will add the touch screen function on later this month.
It is great netbook and cheap enough to have almost everything.

yeah, in retrospect, I probably would get a 13" laptop. I bought a 16" sony, but it is too big for me to bring on the plane with me. So now it stays at home and my wife has claimed it as hers. So I bought the netbook as a cheap small laptop.

yes. I can't watch hulu and youtube HD video won't play for me.

Very rarely do I find myself wishing for an optical drive.

oh great, way to derail yet another thread, Christopher.

I stopped using that and I now go for a different codec pack. I use VLC player because I like the ability to artificially boost the volume.
