I just tried to get the old neutral safety switch off the transmission and it won't come off. It's somehow fused to the rod that comes out of the tranny. I'm just supposed to remove those two bolts and it should slide off, right? I took the lock washer off as well. It's so rusted that it's not coming off. It seems the treads that attach to the Actual switch are instead fused to the rod that goes through the switch. I guess I'll just get it towed to someone that can get it off? Any advice on how to get it off?
