Hot damn, all OP was trying to do was share his experience with ARB and why he won't be buying ARB again. No need to everyone to hop in and call it ugly and talk all sorts of shit. Irrelevant to the thread, but that's typical for the 3rd gen section.

@catastrofe Probably.. Its been a while since I did it so my memory is getting a bit fuzzy. Bumper and winch combo clocks in a around 200lbs tho so thats still not a great solution. Also, the point of those last two holes is to 'lock' everything into place. All the precut holes from ARB are slotted to allow for adjustment up/down & in/out during the initial fit. So it might be a bit a task to get both sides of that 200lbs back in the same exact place after drilling

Exactly, I had to remove my heavy bumper 3 times to make it work. Took my time and I think it came out bitchen.

Hey boss, we got some scrap steel laying around, mind if I take it to practice my metal fabbin skills? I got an idea for a bumper.

Damn think looks hipster, is this the beginning of big bumpers and skinny tires on Tacoma’s?

I dated a girl in a skinny white dress. She was a bitch, so I took her offroading in the river bottom and made gather wood.

shame you wont buy arb products anymore, they have taken care of any issues ive had outside even the warranty period.

I run a lot of their products, even their bumper and I can say that my installation was not at your level of frustration. Most arb's are built for offset fairleads which explains why you possibly had to drill for a normal fairlead? They are one in the few bumpers that offer vertical mounting plane for the winch which is a plus and is a sign that a lot of thought went into its design.

In the end the arb bumper is a old design, like it or not, it is definitely one that is recognizable to the off-roading scene. Ive had mine for nearly 8 years and will soon part with it.
