That might be professional experience, but not the kind that has anything to do with oil.

    Not yet.
But the 2024 model has the i-Force option.
    It’s on its way there.

    I call bullshit.
Why? When it was 3K and 5K intervals back in the day, it was absolutely marketing based from the oil and Jiffy Lube companies.
Now you are saying 10K OCI is market based, even though it is the opposite of the older specs that were market based. Now you are saying the pressure is coming from the vehicle producers.

Let me explain something.... In today's world, there is zero chance that you are buying something that is not marketing based and has an agenda behind it.
Don't use that crap bullshit as a reason. You can't have it both ways.

I only change my mufflers hub cap bearing oil every 10k and I use full synthetic soy bean oil. My Blackstone reports say low on iron, from all the soybean oil use.

Ignore the naysayers. Change it as often as you feel you need. There are lots of rules in life that I don’t follow. I was doing 3K on my 4.0l for years and now shoot for 5K. I just can’t do more than that with the thinner oils. With the newer 4th gen engines being turboed I would never do much over 5K miles.

No one is every going to buy a used Tacoma because the oil was changed too often. If you say “change it at 100 miles” you are just being as ass. That’s just ridiculous. 3000 is a little excessive but not harmful and 10000 is too long, IMO.

I have ran my 07 FJ Cruiser on Amsoil since the 30k mile mark and change oil at 15k. My FJ now has 130k miles on it and doesn't burn any oil at all so.......

I laugh because every chebby/GMC work vehicle I had started sucking down oil once you hit 10 K on the odometer between changes. Even the garage guys said it was quite common to see. I kept vehicles past 200K so I had a pretty good idea of how they aged. Change the oil and they would go right back to no usage after a bit. Only thing I could figure was the oil control rings would start to stick and allow excess oil past them.
